Morton Salt Co. Refuses to put handles on 50 lb. bags of salt Pellets
Yet they put handles on 40lb bags sold in Grocery chains. Senior citizens have a hard job trying to manipulate these heavy bags, that weigh 50 lbs. without handles.
Costco sells the 50 lb. bag for $4.59; Local grocery chains sell the
40 lb. bag for $6.49, which has a handle. This does not make sense! Why they cannot put a handle on the heavier bag and charge a few cents more is foreign to me.
Please reply, I would appreciate a sensible answer. Morton Salt told me it was Costco's error for not requesting handles be a requirement on bags. I asked Morton Salt Since when did Costco start filling Morton Salt Bags. NO REPLY!!!

Maybe the extra money you pay for the 40 pounder at the Piggly wiggly IS for the handle.
What if Costco orders them but the price jumps $1.50 or more ??
The handles cannot be put on 50 lb bags because they cannot handle the extra weight.
Why do you want that much sea salt, or are you talking about the salt for water softeners? If you have that hard of time handling these bags it's time for you to get your water softener from a company that installs them and comes on a regular basis to add the softener pellets to the machine.
its a conspiracy against the elderly......handles are only for the young...stop being a whimp and hump that bag....sorry sack
